While the weather in Georgia isn’t ideal for boating, it’s never too early to start thinking about boating on Lake Lanier. Buford, and Cumming, GA, are home to two of the most versatile boating clubs in the area. While there are always options for a boating club around this large body of water, our Affordable Alternative To Boat Ownership™ offers those who want to take some time to relax more options of vessels. We strive to help our members to feel rejuvenated after a long week or who would just like to escape for a few days for a vacation. Regardless of the reason you’ve ended up on Lake Lanier, our boating club strives to offer everything our members could need to enjoy a day of fun in the sun. About Freedom Boat Club
Freedom Boat Club started as an opportunity for people who didn’t own boats, but wanted to enjoy a day on the lake. We opened the first Freedom Boat Club in Sarasota, FL in the year 1989 to encourage anyone who loves boating to go out and enjoy time with their family. Our boat club has grown to over 100 locations in the United States and in Canada. What’s neat about Freedom Boat Club is that you can enjoy any of our locations regardless if you signed up for your membership there or not. If you signed up for a membership at Freedom Boat Club in California and you want to go boating while vacationing in Georgia, then you have that opportunity. Our main priority is to help you enjoy spending time on a boat without any hassle or spending over your budget. Our boating club has been around for decades and will continue to do so for those who would like to relax without worrying about everything that comes with boating.
Safety Tips For You And Your Family To Follow
When it comes to boating, it’s vital that you practice some safety tips to make sure that your day of fun in the sun stays that way. We supplied some must follow safety tips while boating to help you and your family stay safe.
Follow these safety tips:
- Life jackets: If anyone falls over, then you won’t have to worry about that person floating away. A life jacket is designed to keep you above water. When you flip over onto your back, then the person can get back to the boat safely.
- Check the weather: Always check the weather before you go boating. You don’t want to end up caught in a storm! Checking the weather will help you stay warm, safe, and dry.
- Bring the essentials: How long are you going to go boating for? Do you want to spend the day and the night out on Lake Lanier? You’ll want to pack accordingly. This means that you’ll want to bring water, extra clothing, snacks, and more.
- Practice common sense: Everyone can make mistakes, but while on the water, you’ll want to try to avoid as many accidents as possible and that means using your common sense. If you have small children, then make sure they are wearing their life jackets. If you aren’t sure where you’re headed, use a navigational device or look out for buoys.
